Care and Feeding

It has been difficult to find information of the care of humpback chub, but I found some information as well as information of care of other types of chubs that I thought we could use, we could always update it at some point if the zoo wanted us too.

Eggs are kept in a one gallon tank where they hatch after two days.

Frys are fed infusoria (single cell alagae, and protozoa, micro-organisms) and then graduated to dead baby brine shrimp 3-4 days later

Adults are fed vegetable flakes, small crickets, aquatic insects, diatoms (type of phytoplankton) , filamentous algae and brine shrimp twice per week.

The bottom of the tank needs to be covered with rocks.

I will keep looking around but this is what i have so far.
